Work has commenced for our Family Tree memorials i

Work has commenced for our Family Tree memorials in the Davies Garden with breathtaking views over Barringo Valley and the Macedon Ranges.
Plantings will be dwarf flowering gums (Corymbia) and Brachychiton, flowering in reds, orange and pinks. The understory will be made up of various Grevillea’s and dwarf Banksia.
If you visit us over the coming weeks the markings in white are available for sale and yellow/pink has already been sold.
These memorials can be purchased as a shared tree, exclusive for eight interments, or family tree with unlimited interments.

Our summer installation was erected today. Purposely positioned with the Memorial Cross in view, we will be able to welcome 300 seated guests for services - option to have open sides or completely closed.

We also have the Upfield Lawn Marquee for 100 seated guests, in addition to our indoor chapel accommodating 60 seated guests with overflow into the RW Knight Garden for 60 guests.

We are raising funds to purchase a cuddle bed, for @chrhorgau , a specially designed bed that allows family and friends to provide physical comfort to a loved one during end-of-life care as physical closeness can deepen connections and improve quality of life. We would also like to raise enough funds to also update the palliative care suite with new furnishings, artwork, paint, carpet and a fold-out sofa bed, to create a comfortable and relaxing space for patients and their visitors. #macedonranges #woolinghillrun @macedonrangesrunning @chapter_house @chrhorgau #funrun

How did Troy find himself in our neck of the woods? Well, after a 23-year career in banking, Troy was ready for a change.

He wanted a career that would have a tangible impact and allow him to give back to the local community. "I wanted to do something that satisfied me and had a passion for, but I also wanted to make a difference". And so Troy went from finance to funerals, and founded Chapter House Funerals with wife Liddy in 2016.

Earlier this year Troy and Liddy purchased the Wooling Hill Memorial Estate in New Gisborne, considered one of the most historic proprieties in the Macedon Ranges. Troy and Liddy are proud to facilitate Victoria’s only private memorial park and bring their unique vision and sustainable practices to the region.

We understand this is a difficult time to talk about death, but we also think that’s why it’s so important.
